Rick Wilk has over 25 years of front-line experience in executive leadership, management and meeting design. He has served as Regional Administrator for the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, HRSA Chicago Regional Office, Director of Business Development for the FQHC/Hospital Affiliations program and as a leader in the Campaign for 100% Access/0 Health Disparities national initiative. 

As HRSA Chicago Regional Administrator and HRSA Director of Business Development, Rick assisted FQHCs, hospitals, and other non-profit organizations to leverage resources through multi-sector partnerships to expand markets and access to services. As the national lead for the Regional Program Integrity Initiative, he hired and trained auditors and scheduled over 600 performance reviews for health care organizations. As a Project Officer for the State of Ohio and Indiana, he provided technical assistance to 25 group practices to obtain FQHC funding, look-alike status, consulted in FQHC growth, program expansion, affiliations and oversight and transitioned 6 challenged practices to strengthened relationships through merger or management enhancements.

Mr. Wilk oversaw five delivery sites that served over 120,000 clients as the Acting Executive Director/Director of Operations at Erie Family Health Center in Chicago. Demonstrated operational efficiencies and revenue enhancements in group practices, long term care and rehabilitation centers. 

As the national lead for building the HRSA Program Integrity initiative, he hired and trained auditors, and scheduled over 600 performance reviews for health care facilities. Evaluated operational performance and provided consultation to 24 group practices in the Midwest and spearheaded an organizational turnaround for one regional office.

Mr. Wilk deploys transformative meeting facilitation skills to help health care and community organizations identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.  Coached executives to develop high potentials, facilitate transition and address derailing behavior.

Rick Wilk received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Dominican University and Masters’ degrees in Public Health and Business Administration from the University of Hawaii.
